Positive Women Victoria

Positive Women Victoria is the only organisation in Australia funded specifically to provide support and advocacy for women living with HIV. Positive Women Victoria is supported by the Victorian Government Department of Health.

Vision and mission

Positive Women Victoria want all women living with HIV in Victoria to have access to the highest quality services, including peer-led services, to support their physical, emotional and social wellbeing.

How Positive Women Victoria can help

Positive Women Victoria provides peer support, advocacy and health promotion information for women living with HIV. They take referrals from health and medical practitioners who have clients living with HIV. Support is available through on-on-one consultations and discussions, in groups, through events and via health promotion activities and resources. They also assist women to find appropriate social and health services that are safe for women living with HIV.
