Whether you are looking for mental health support for yourself, someone you care about, or just trying to improve your wellbeing - Head to Health is a good place to start.

Vision and mission

Head to Health is a free confidential service from the Australian Government. It connects you with the help and support you need to keep mentally healthy.

How Head to Health can help

  • Head to Health is an open door if you are looking for mental health information, services, and support for yourself or someone you care about.
  • Head to Health can be accessed online, via phone or in person at a Head to Health centre.
  • For mental health advice and support, call Head to Health on 1800 595 212. Our team can help you access the local mental health services and supports that are right for you.
  • Head to Health centres are a safe and welcoming space to talk to someone if you, or someone you care about, are in distress, or need help finding the right mental health support to meet your needs. Support through Head to Health centres is free. No appointment or GP referral is required.
  • The Head to Health quiz is a good starting point if you want some support for your mental health and wellbeing, but aren't exactly sure what that looks like., the quiz is completely confidential and suitable for people aged 18 and over who are looking to connect with mental health programs and services that best suit their needs.
  • Head to Health makes it easier for GPs to support the mental health of the people they look after. Health professionals can call or visit a centre for advice in supporting their patients and navigating local mental health services or access the website to find and share tailored and trusted mental health resources and services which may help their patient to work on their mental health in between face-to-face appointments.
