Tresillian

Tresillian is Australia's largest early parenting support organisation with Family Care Centres in metropolitan Sydney at Canterbury, Wollstonecraft, and Nepean, and across regional NSW, the ACT and Victoria offering face-to-face consultations, 4 night/5 day residential facilities, parenting group programs, virtual consultations, parenting group programs and a Parent’s Help Line. Tresillian 2U Mobile Vans also visit families in regional districts around NSW.

Tresillian Mission — Tresillian is an early parenting service offering families guidance in the early years of their child’s life; supporting parents with breastfeeding, nutrition and settling baby, as well as screening and supporting parents with their own mental health.

How Tresillian can help

Tresillian can help you and your family during this challenging time with: practical guidance and support on what you can do to help your baby sleep better, feeding your baby — breastfeeding or bottle-feeding; working out baby’s sleep/feed/play daily rhythm or pattern, toddler behaviour, coping with twins or triplets and self-care — your own emotional wellbeing and mental health.

How to Book A Visit to Tresillian

  • Parents can book a visit to a Tresillian service on the Tresillian website www.tresillian.org.au. Fill in a short online contact form and a Nurse will call you back to work out the best services to meet your needs.

OR ask your local Health Professional — Child & Family Health Nurse, GP or early parenting support service to refer you and your child to a Tresillian service.

For advice on your child and more information on the best service to meet your needs, call the Tresillian Parent’s Help Line on FREECALL 1300 272 736.

How much does a visit to Tresillian cost?

Day Services are covered by Medicare. Residential Services are covered by Medicare and/or your family’s private health fund. If both parents stay overnight one parent is a boarder and an accommodation/meals charge will apply of around $56 per day.

Parent Groups

To learn more about your child and meet up with other parents, consider booking into one of their parent groups. Topics range from Supporting Sleep in Young Babies, Circle of Security, Getting to Know You, Postnatal Depression & Anxiety, Wellbeing for Busy Parents, Connecting with your Child, and Parenting for Dads. Parent Groups are held regularly at either a Tresillian Centre, in the community or virtually. To book, visit the Courses page of Tresillian’s website at tresillian.org.au/courses

Information lines / help lines

  • Tresillian's Parent's Help Line Nurses can answer questions on breastfeeding and bottle-feeding, and assist you to access the Tresillian service for your family. Their Tresillian Nurses are only a call away, ready to provide a listening ear, helpful advice, and to assist you to access the Tresillian service which will best meet your needs.

ForWhen provides new and expecting parents — mums, dads, and guardians — with a caring, supportive mental health navigation service, to guide you and your family throughout your perinatal journey, from conception, up until your child is 12 months old. It’s a national support line that connects you to the right service that can help you understand what you’re feeling and provide the guidance and support you need at the right time.
