Musculoskeletal Health Australia (MHA) is a consumer organisation working with, and advocating on behalf of, people with arthritis, osteoporosis, back pain, gout and over 150 other conditions. As a charity MHA represents over 7 million Australian living with musculoskeletal conditions.

The work MHA does is actively supported by people with arthritis, osteoporosis, back pain and other musculoskeletal conditions, as well as our members, volunteers, health professionals, peer support groups, corporate and research partners.

They work collaboratively with these diverse groups of people to deliver evidence-based research, education, information, advocacy, policy and support services.

Vision and mission

MHA's mission is by 2050 - all Australians living free from the negative impacts of musculoskeletal conditions.

MHA exists to improve knowledge, choice and connection that drives positive outcomes for people impacted by musculoskeletal conditions, and to promote excellence in support and care.

How Musculoskeletal Health Australia can help

MHA supports people for better musculoskeletal health.

They can help you:

  • with information on arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions, and commonly prescribed treatments
  • speak to a trained nurse about your experience
  • find your way through the complex health, disability and social services systems
  • find community resources in your area.
