HeartKids

HeartKids is the only Australian not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting and advocating for families impacted by childhood-onset heart disease (CoHD).

They bring care and connection to those living with CoHD. As your CoHD companion for life, HeartKids makes holistic care possible with access to tailored information, resources, and support.

Vision and mission

HeartKids seeks to give every child, teenager, and adult in Australia with congenital or childhood-onset heart disease a fighting chance to live a long, healthy, and fulfilling life.

How HeartKids can help

HeartKids offer:

  • Direct support and guidance from HeartKids Support Coordinators across Australia to assist in navigating journeys with childhood-onset heart disease (CoHD)
  • Education and information resources, including our Resource Library with factsheets, podcasts, and videos relating to CoHD
  • Mental health support for people and their families impacted by CoHD
  • HeartKids Helpline services by phone, webchat and email, five days a week
  • In-hospital and community events, morning teas, and social connection opportunities for those on a journey with CoHD.
