Blue Knot Foundation

People who experience complex trauma often struggle as an adult with their mental and physical health and wellbeing. People supporting them often don’t know what to do and say. Blue Knot Foundation empowers survivors to recover and supports those around them.

Vision and mission

Blue Knot Foundation is Australia's National Centre of Excellence for Complex Trauma. They empower recovery and build resilience for the more than 5 million adults impacted by complex trauma. This includes 1 in 4 adult Australians who have experienced childhood trauma. Complex trauma is interpersonal (between people) trauma as a child, young person or adult e.g. violence, abuse, neglect or exploitation.

How Blue Knot Foundation can help

Blue Knot provides trauma specialist phone counselling and referrals, educational workshops for survivors and their supporters, training and therapeutic services for practitioners and workers, trauma-informed consultancy for services, evidence-informed publications, newsletters for survivors and practitioner, advocacy, research and health promotion in the areas of complex trauma and trauma informed care and practice.

Blue Knot Helpline and Redress Support Service is a trauma specialist phone and webchat service for adult survivors of complex childhood trauma and their personal and professional supporters.
