Autism Association of Australia
Autism Association of Australia is the independent, national peak body for autism families in Australia. Founded more than 20 years ago as Autism Awareness Australia, the organisation provides evidence-based information, education, advocacy and resources for autistic people, their families, carers and the broader sector, supporting autistic Australians at every life stage from early diagnosis through to ageing.
Their goal is simple: to improve the lives of all Australians on the autism spectrum and the families who love them.
Vision and mission
Autism Association of Australia is all about empowering autism families.
How Autism Association of Australia can help
They ensure autistic individuals, and their parents/carers have access to the best possible free information, resources and tools to empower them to support themselves or their loved ones on the spectrum.
They also provide targeted educational programs to families, professionals and the broader community. All of this alongside their ongoing push to de-mystify and bring awareness to the abilities and challenges faced by the autism spectrum community.
