Vision and mission

1800 My Options is proudly pro-choice, non-judgmental, and independent. They work alongside hundreds of trusted healthcare providers in Victoria.

1800 My Options is a service of Women’s Health Victoria and is supported by the Victorian Government. The service was first launched in 2018, as part of a statewide strategy to reduce the barriers affecting women’s access to reproductive and sexual health services.

1800 My Options provides:

• Evidence-based information about contraception, pregnancy options, abortion and sexual health
• Details of sexual and reproductive health services to suit individual needs

  • Services provide:
    • Medication/surgical abortion
    • Contraceptive IUD/implants
    • Emergency contraception
    • STI screening/management
    • Cervical screening

    • Pregnancy options counselling
  • Referrals take into consideration:
    • Location and transport
    • Financial concerns
    • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander status
    • Language preference
    • Psychosocial or medical concerns
• Resources for health workers, support workers and educators
