Alcohol and Drug Foundation

The Alcohol and Drug Foundation has more than 50 years’ worth of work reducing the harm from drugs in our community, particularly by creating a healthier drinking culture.

The Alcohol and Drug Foundation advocate for appropriate government policy reform, inform the community about alcohol and other issues, build healthier workplaces and change the drinking culture of Australia’s favourite pastime – sport.

The ADF website is the flagship information resource providing a central point for anyone seeking alcohol and other drug information. The ADF website provides easy-to-understand resources for medical professionals, community workers, people who use drugs, friends and families of people who use drugs, and the general public.

The website provides non-judgemental evidence-based information about a wide variety of drugs, their effects and potential harms.

It also includes a specialist search service providing access to thousands of academic journals and an email alert service for people interested in staying up-to-date on issues related to preventing alcohol and other drug-related harm.

Available in full desktop and mobile versions, the ADF website features text-to-voice reader functionality to improve access to the site.

Anyone looking for alcohol and other drug information should consider DrugInfo as their first port of call for high quality information from local, national and international sources.
